Holmes Regional Medical Center is the largest and most comprehensive hospital in east central Florida. With 514 beds, HRMC is located in Melbourne and serves Brevard County and the Space Coast with the highest levels of quality health care.

Emergency & trauma services

• A 24-hour full-service emergency department - features 56 private treatment rooms, 12 specifically set aside for patients with cardiac and stroke symptoms, laboratory and x-ray services, and a chapel for family support
• Level II trauma center
• First Flight air ambulance helicopter

Endoscopy services

• A full-service video endoscopy center - offers bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, endoscopic-retrograde-cholangiopancreatogram (ERCP), flexible sigmoidoscopy, and esophageal motility study.
• Complete enesophagoscopydoscopy care - includes a private waiting area, five-bed holding area, eight complete video suites, and a nine-bed recovery area.

Laboratory services

• Pulmonary laboratory - offers NIOSH/OSHA certified pulmonary function screening and the county's largest smoking cessation assistance program including behavior modification with group and individual assistance from staff certified by the American Lung Association.
• Accredited by the College of American Pathologists - we are the largest multi-specialty reference lab in the area and offer chemistry, hematology, special chemistry, histology, cytology, microbiology, urinalysis, blood bank, and flow cytometry.
• Other features - include five walk-in treatment sites, five board-certified pathologists, and a virology lab -- the only one on Florida's east coast. The lab operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and boasts certification by the state of Florida's Department of Health and Human Services.

Outpatient services

• The outpatient center - offers comprehensive testing and diagnostic services. The center is located inside HRMC's East Complex. Valet parking is available.

Orthopaedic services

• Orthopedic services feature a 35-bed unit equipped with eight PCU beds. Patients include those with trauma fractures, total joint replacements, and spinal surgeries.
• A nursing staff trained in orthopedic care and 17 orthopedic surgeons complement the unit. Physical therapy services are provided on the unit.

Women and children's services

• Women and children's services - feature the county's first Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a full-time board-certified neonatologist, a high-risk pregnancy program, comprehensive prenatal and postnatal education, two full-time lactation consultants, and a pediatric and high-risk obstetrical clinical nurse specialist.
